Are ultrasounds safe?

Ultrasounds have been used since the 1950s. Many extensive studies over this time have shown that ultrasounds are not known to cause any harm to mother or baby. Feel free to discuss with your OB or midwife if you have any concerns.  Many Colorado doctors carry our business cards to give to their clients and have even chose to come to us.
